Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present.

  1. Insert battery: Open battery compartment, insert CR2032 with correct polarity.
  2. Test power: Press POWER button to verify display activates.
  3. Attach protective case: Store probe in included case when not in use.
  4. Check calibration: Verify against known temperature source if required.

WARNING! Do not expose probe to temperatures beyond specified range. Keep away from corrosive substances.

First-Time Setup

Power on probe; configure basic settings.

  1. Select temperature unit: Press and hold °C/°F button for 3 seconds to toggle.
  2. Enable backlight: Press LIGHT button to activate display illumination.
  3. Set auto power-off: Default is 10 minutes; cannot be disabled.
  4. Test measurement: Insert probe into room temperature water to verify reading.

CAUTION! Ensure probe is clean and dry before first use. Do not immerse display unit in water.

Measurement Procedures

Supports liquid, semi-solid, and air temperature measurements.

  1. Power on: Press POWER button; wait for display to stabilize.
  2. Insert probe: Place probe tip into substance being measured.
  3. Wait for stabilization: Allow 5-10 seconds for accurate reading.
  4. Read temperature: Note value on display.
  5. Use HOLD function: Press HOLD to freeze reading for recording.
  6. Change units: Press °C/°F to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  7. Backlight: Press LIGHT in low-light conditions.
  8. Power off: Press and hold POWER for 3 seconds or allow auto power-off.

WARNING! Do not exceed maximum temperature rating. Remove probe from heat source before it reaches 300°C.

Calibration & Maintenance

Calibration: Recommended annually or after heavy use. Use ice bath (0°C/32°F) and boiling water (100°C/212°F at sea level) for verification. Maintenance: Keep probe clean; store in protective case; replace battery when indicator shows low.

Care & Cleaning

Power off and remove battery before cleaning. Wipe probe with damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse display unit. Dry thoroughly before storage.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Avoid bending probe shaft.
