Charging Procedures

Follow these steps for safe and effective battery charging.

Turn charger power switch OFF before connecting.
Connect clamps: Red to positive (+), Black to negative (-) or ground.

Turn power ON: Display will show battery voltage and charging current.
Monitor charging: LED will flash green during charge, turn solid when complete.
Disconnect: Turn power OFF, unplug from outlet, remove BLACK clamp first.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries, use 10A setting. Charging time varies by battery capacity.

Engine Start Function

Use 55-amp engine start only for vehicles with completely dead batteries.

Connect clamps properly (red to positive, black to ground).
Set selector to START position.
Turn charger power ON.
Wait 2-3 minutes for battery to receive initial charge.
Attempt to start vehicle while charger is connected and powered.
If engine starts, immediately turn charger OFF and disconnect clamps.
If engine doesn't start within 5 seconds, wait 3 minutes before retrying.

WARNING! Do not use engine start function for more than 5 seconds continuously. Allow charger to cool between attempts.

Maintenance & Storage

Proper maintenance ensures long charger life and safe operation.

Clean clamps after each use with baking soda solution to remove corrosion.
Inspect cables regularly for cracks or exposed wires.
Store in dry location away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
