Specifications

Controls and Functions

Front Panel: LCD display, rotary function switch, input jacks, data hold button, power button.

Function Selector Positions: OFF, V⎓ (DC Voltage), V~ (AC Voltage), A⎓ (DC Current), Ω (Resistance), ))) (Continuity), ►|– (Diode Test).

Input Jacks: COM (common), VΩmA (voltage/resistance/current up to 200mA), 10A (current up to 10A).

Display Symbols: AC/DC indicators, low battery, overload, data hold, unit symbols (V, A, Ω, mV, mA).

Measurement Procedures

Always turn off power to circuit before measuring resistance or continuity.

  1. DC Voltage: Set to V⎓, select appropriate range, connect leads in parallel to circuit.
  2. AC Voltage: Set to V~, connect leads to AC source.
  3. DC Current: Set to A⎓, select range, connect in series with circuit (use 10A jack for >200mA).
  4. Resistance: Set to Ω, ensure circuit is de-energized, connect across component.
  5. Continuity: Set to ))) , connect across circuit; buzzer sounds if resistance < 50Ω.
  6. Diode Test: Set to ►|–, connect red lead to anode, black to cathode; typical reading 0.5-0.8V.
  7. Data Hold: Press HOLD button to freeze display; press again to resume.

Tip: Start with highest range when unknown value to prevent overload.

Battery Replacement

Replace battery when low battery indicator appears or display becomes dim.

  1. Turn multimeter OFF and disconnect test leads.
  2. Remove screw from battery compartment cover.
  3. Replace old 9V battery with new one, observing polarity.
  4. Replace cover and secure screw.

CAUTION! Use only recommended battery type. Dispose of old battery properly.

Safety Precautions

This multimeter is designed for indoor use. Maximum voltage between any terminal and ground is 1000V DC or 750V AC.

WARNING! Electric shock hazard. Do not use on circuits exceeding rated voltage.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with dry cloth only. Store in dry place at room temperature.

  1. Keep multimeter dry and free from dust.
  2. Do not expose to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  3. Inspect test leads regularly for damage.
  4. Remove battery if not using for extended periods.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or water for cleaning. Keep away from magnetic fields.
