Getting Started

Unpack and inspect contents. Install battery if not pre-installed.

Insert 9V battery: Open battery compartment, connect battery, replace cover.
Connect test leads: Insert black lead into COM jack, red lead into VΩmA jack.
Turn on meter: Rotate function selector to desired measurement function.
Test continuity: Touch probe tips together; buzzer should sound.

CAUTION! Ensure meter is off when connecting to circuits. Start with highest range if unknown value.

Measurement Procedures

DC Current: Select A⎓, connect leads in series, read display (use 10A jack for >200mA).
Resistance: Select Ω, ensure circuit is de-energized, connect across component.
Diode Test: Select diode symbol, connect red to anode, black to cathode.
Continuity: Select buzzer symbol, touch probes to circuit ends.

Tip: Use HOLD button to freeze reading in hard-to-see areas.

Battery Replacement

Replace battery when low battery indicator appears.

Turn meter off and disconnect test leads.
Remove screw from battery compartment cover.
Replace old 9V battery with new one, observing polarity.
Replace cover and secure screw.

WARNING! Do not operate meter with low battery as readings may be inaccurate.

Care & Maintenance

Troubleshooting

Symptom	Possible Cause	Corrective Action
No display	Dead battery	Replace 9V battery.
