Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Failure to follow may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.

  1. Use only with 12V or 6V lead-acid or 12V lithium batteries as specified.
  2. Ensure area is well-ventilated. Keep away from sparks, flames, and smoking materials.
  3. Wear protective eyewear and gloves when working with batteries.
  4. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.
  5. Connect charger to battery before plugging into AC outlet.
  6. Disconnect AC power before connecting or disconnecting battery clamps.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Battery charging produces hydrogen gas. Keep charger and battery away from open flames and sources of ignition.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry, non-flammable surface.

  1. Identify Battery: Determine battery voltage (6V or 12V) and type (lead-acid: Wet, MF, Gel, AGM, or Lithium).
  2. Prepare Battery: Clean battery terminals. Ensure vent caps are tight and level. Remove battery from vehicle if possible.
  3. Connect Clamps: FIRST connect RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) battery terminal. THEN connect BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) battery terminal or vehicle chassis ground.
  4. Select Mode: Press MODE button to select appropriate charging mode (Standard, AGM, Lithium).
  5. Connect Power: Plug AC power cord into 120V, 60Hz outlet.

CAUTION! Always connect clamps to battery before plugging into AC power to prevent sparking at terminals.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Control Panel: MODE button, TEST button, POWER/RESET button.

LED Indicators:

Mode Selection: Press MODE to cycle through: Standard (for conventional lead-acid), AGM (for Absorbent Glass Mat), Lithium (for LiFePO4), Recovery (for deeply discharged batteries).

Charging Procedures

Follow these steps for safe and effective charging.

  1. Initial Connection: Connect clamps to battery as described in Installation.
  2. Mode Selection: Press MODE until LED indicates correct battery type.
  3. Start Charging: Plug into AC outlet. Charging will begin automatically.
  4. Monitor: CHARGING LED will flash. Battery % LEDs will illuminate progressively.
  5. Completion: When CHARGED LED lights solid, charging is complete. Charger switches to float/maintenance mode.
  6. Disconnect: Unplug AC cord first, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Recovery Mode: For batteries below 2V, select Recovery mode. Charger will attempt to revive battery with low current pulses. This may take several hours.

WARNING! Do not leave charger unattended for extended periods. Disconnect after charging complete.

Battery Testing

Use the built-in battery tester to check condition before charging.

  1. Ensure charger is NOT plugged into AC power.
  2. Connect clamps to battery (RED to +, BLACK to -).
  3. Press and hold TEST button for 3 seconds.
  4. Read results:
    • All % LEDs Green: Battery good, sufficient charge.
    • Low % LEDs only: Battery needs charging.
    • FAULT LED Red: Battery may be bad or connections poor.
  5. Disconnect clamps after test.

Tip: Test battery before and after charging to assess improvement.

Maintenance & Storage

Unplug and disconnect before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth only; no liquids or solvents.

Storage: Store in cool, dry place. Wrap cords neatly. Keep away from children.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water or expose to rain. Internal maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel only.
