Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Failure to follow may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.

  1. Use only with 12V or 6V lead-acid batteries. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  2. Ensure area is well-ventilated. Batteries produce explosive gases.
  3. Wear safety glasses and gloves when handling batteries.
  4. Connect clamps to battery terminals before plugging into AC outlet.
  5. Disconnect AC power before removing clamps from battery.
  6. Keep charger dry. Do not expose to rain or moisture.
  7. Do not charge frozen or damaged batteries.

WARNING! Risk of explosive gases. Keep sparks, flames, and smoking away from battery area.

Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place charger on stable, dry, non-flammable surface.

  1. Prepare battery: Ensure battery is in well-ventilated area. Clean terminals if corroded.
  2. Connect clamps: Attach RED clamp to POSITIVE (+) terminal. Attach BLACK clamp to NEGATIVE (-) terminal. Ensure secure connection.
  3. Select battery type: Press MODE button to select Standard, AGM, or Gel Cell.
  4. Plug into AC power: Connect to 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Charger will auto-detect voltage.
  5. Monitor display: Digital readout will show charging status and progress.

CAUTION! Never reverse polarity. This may damage charger and battery.

Specifications

Controls and Indicators

Front Panel: POWER button, MODE selector, ENGINE START button, Digital Display.

Display Icons: Battery icon (charging status), Voltage readout, Error codes, Battery type indicator.

Modes: STANDARD (regular charging), AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat), GEL (Gel Cell), MAINTENANCE (float/trickle). Engine Start: Provides 50A boost for starting vehicles (use with caution). Error Codes: E1 (reverse polarity), E2 (overheat), E3 (bad connection), E4 (battery fault).

Charging Procedures

Follow steps for safe and effective charging.

  1. Verify battery voltage (6V or 12V). Charger auto-detects.
  2. Connect clamps correctly (RED to +, BLACK to -).
  3. Select battery type using MODE button.
  4. Plug into AC outlet. Charger begins initialization.
  5. Monitor display: Shows bulk charging (high current), then absorption (tapering), then float (maintenance).
  6. When fully charged, display shows "FULL" or "100%".
  7. Unplug AC cord first, then remove BLACK clamp, then RED clamp.

Tip: For deeply discharged batteries (< 2V), use MAINTENANCE mode first to recover.

Maintenance Mode

Use for battery recovery, desulfation, or long-term storage maintenance.

  1. Connect clamps as usual.
  2. Press and hold MODE button for 3 seconds until "MAINT" appears.
  3. Charger will apply pulsed current to break down sulfate crystals.
  4. This mode can take 24-48 hours for severely discharged batteries.
  5. Monitor display for progress. Do not leave unattended for extended periods.

Note: Not all batteries can be recovered. If error E4 persists, battery may be dead.

Care & Storage

Unplug and disconnect before cleaning. Wipe with dry cloth. Store in cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Do not immerse in water. Keep clamps clean and free of corrosion.
