Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. This meter is designed for indoor use.

  1. Do not use on circuits exceeding 600V AC/DC.
  2. Ensure test leads are in correct jacks for measurement type.
  3. Do not touch exposed metal parts of probes during measurement.
  4. Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with electricity.
  5. Disconnect power before measuring resistance or continuity.

WARNING! Risk of electric shock. Do not use if meter or leads are damaged. Use extreme caution with live circuits.

Specifications

Controls and Display

Front Panel: Rotary switch, LCD, HOLD button, NCV sensor. Rear: Battery compartment.

Display Symbols: AC, DC, Auto, Hold, Low Battery, Overload (OL).

Rotary Switch Positions: OFF, V⎓ (DC voltage), V~ (AC voltage), A~ (AC current clamp), Ω (resistance), ))) (continuity), diode symbol, NCV.

Input Jacks: COM (black lead), VΩ (red lead for voltage/resistance).

Measurement Procedures

Turn rotary switch to desired function. Connect test leads if required.

  1. AC Voltage: Set to V~, insert red lead in VΩ jack, touch probes to circuit.
  2. DC Voltage: Set to V⎓, connect as above, observe polarity.
  3. AC Current (Clamp): Set to A~, clamp around single conductor, ensure jaws are fully closed.
  4. Resistance: Set to Ω, ensure circuit is de-energized, connect across component.
  5. Continuity: Set to ))) , probes across circuit; buzzer sounds for continuity.
  6. Diode Test: Set to diode symbol, red lead to anode, black to cathode.
  7. NCV Detection: Set to NCV, bring tip near wire; beep and LED indicate voltage.
  8. Data Hold: Press HOLD to freeze reading; press again to resume.

Tip: For accurate current measurement, center conductor in clamp jaws.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when low battery icon appears.

  1. Turn meter OFF and disconnect test leads.
  2. Remove screw from battery compartment cover.
  3. Replace old AAA batteries with new ones, observing polarity.
  4. Replace cover and secure screw.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Dispose of old batteries properly.

Care & Maintenance

Store in a dry place. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.

CAUTION! Do not expose to extreme temperatures, moisture, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
