Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. This meter is designed for indoor use.

  1. Do not use on circuits exceeding 600V AC/DC.
  2. Ensure meter is set to correct function and range before connecting.
  3. Do not touch exposed metal parts of test leads during measurement.
  4. Inspect test leads for damage before each use.
  5. Replace battery when low battery indicator appears.

WARNING! Risk of electric shock. Do not use on live circuits without proper training. Use caution when working with voltages above 30V AC RMS or 42V DC.

Meter Overview

Front Panel Layout:

  1. LCD Display: Shows measurement value, function, and symbols.
  2. Rotary Switch: Selects V~ (AC Voltage), V⎓ (DC Voltage), A~ (AC Current via clamp), Ω (Resistance), ))) (Continuity), and Diode symbol.
  3. Clamp Jaw Trigger: Press to open clamp for conductor insertion.
  4. Power/Hold Button: Press to turn on; press and hold for Data Hold function.
  5. Input Jacks: COM (common/black lead), VΩ (red lead for voltage/resistance).

CAUTION! Do not force rotary switch. Turn meter off when not in use.

Specifications

Measurement Procedures

Turn rotary switch to desired function. Connect test leads to correct jacks.

AC Voltage: Set to V~. Connect leads in parallel to circuit. Read display.
DC Voltage: Set to V⎓. Connect red to positive, black to negative.
AC Current (Clamp): Set to A~. Press clamp trigger, clamp around single conductor.
Resistance: Set to Ω. Ensure circuit is de-energized. Connect leads across component.
Continuity: Set to ))). Buzzer sounds if resistance < 50Ω.
Diode Test: Set to diode symbol. Connect red to anode, black to cathode. Forward voltage drop 0.5V-0.8V typical.

Battery Replacement

Replace 9V battery when low battery symbol appears.

  1. Turn meter off and disconnect test leads.
  2. Remove screw from battery compartment cover.
  3. Replace old battery with new 9V battery, observing polarity.
  4. Replace cover and screw.

Tip: Dispose of old battery according to local regulations.

Care & Maintenance

Clean meter with dry cloth only. Store in dry location.

  1. Do not expose to water, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight.
  2. Inspect test leads and clamp jaw regularly for damage.
  3. Calibrate annually for accurate measurements.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or abrasives. Keep away from magnetic fields.
