Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. This meter is designed for indoor use on circuits not exceeding 600V CAT III.

  1. Do not use on circuits exceeding rated voltage.
  2. Ensure test leads are in correct jacks for measurement type.
  3. Do not use if meter or leads are damaged.
  4. Keep fingers behind barrier on test leads during measurement.
  5. Disconnect test leads before clamping onto live conductors for current measurement.

WARNING! Risk of electric shock. Use extreme caution when working with high voltage. Never use on wet surfaces or with wet hands.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with meter components before operation.

  1. Clamp Jaw: Opens to clamp around single conductor for AC current measurement.
  2. Function Dial: Rotate to select measurement function and range.
  3. Display: Shows measured value, units, and status icons.
  4. Buttons: POWER (On/Off), HOLD (Data Hold), NCV (activates sensor).
  5. Input Jacks: COM (common/ground), VΩmA (for voltage, resistance, mA current).
  6. Test Leads: Red and black insulated leads with probe tips.

CAUTION! Always turn function dial to OFF position when not in use to preserve battery.

Specifications

Measurement Procedures

Turn function dial to desired measurement. Connect test leads if required.

AC Voltage: Set dial to V~. Insert black lead in COM, red in VΩ. Touch probes to circuit. Read display.

DC Voltage: Set dial to V=. Observe polarity (red to positive, black to negative).

AC Current: Set dial to A~. Ensure no test leads are connected. Open clamp, place around single conductor, close clamp. Center conductor in jaw for accuracy.

Resistance: Set dial to Ω. Ensure circuit is de-energized. Connect probes across component.

Continuity: Set dial to Ω (continuity symbol). Audible beep indicates circuit continuity.

Diode Test: Set dial to diode symbol. Red lead to anode, black to cathode. Display shows forward voltage (0.5V-0.8V typical).

Using the NCV Sensor

Detects live voltage without physical contact.

  1. Press and hold NCV button.
  2. Slowly move sensor tip near wire or outlet.
  3. Audible beep and LED indicator activate when AC voltage is detected.
  4. Use to quickly identify live wires before working.

Tip: NCV detection range is limited. Always verify with direct voltage measurement when safety is critical.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when low battery icon appears.

  1. Turn meter OFF and disconnect all test leads.
  2. Remove screw from battery compartment cover.
  3. Replace both AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  4. Replace cover and secure screw.
  5. Dispose of old batteries properly.

WARNING! Do not operate meter with battery cover removed. Risk of electric shock.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with dry cloth only. Store in protective case when not in use.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or abrasives. Keep away from moisture, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields.
