Safety Precautions

Read all safety information before use. This multimeter is designed for indoor use.

  1. Do not use if meter or test leads are damaged.
  2. Do not measure voltage above 600V AC/DC.
  3. Use proper terminals, function, and range for measurements.
  4. Do not use in wet or damp environments.
  5. Disconnect test leads from circuit before changing function.

WARNING! Risk of electric shock. Do not use on electrically live circuits unless trained. Ensure all connections are secure.

Parts Identification

Front Panel Overview:

  1. LCD Display: Shows measurement value, function, and symbols.
  2. Rotary Function Switch: Selects measurement type and range.
  3. Input Jacks: COM (common), VΩmA (volts/ohms/milliamps), 10ADC (10A current).
  4. Data Hold Button: Press to freeze display reading.
  5. Power Button: Turns meter ON/OFF (on select models).

CAUTION! Always insert black test lead into COM jack. Red lead into appropriate jack for measurement.

Specifications

Measurement Procedures

General Steps:

  1. Turn rotary switch to desired function and range.
  2. Insert black lead into COM jack, red lead into appropriate jack.
  3. Connect leads to circuit/component.
  4. Read value on display.

Measuring Voltage: Set to V⎓ (DC) or V~ (AC). Connect leads in parallel with circuit.
Measuring Current: Set to A⎓. Connect leads in series with circuit. Use 10A jack for >200mA.
Measuring Resistance: Set to Ω. Ensure circuit is de-energized. Connect across component.
Continuity Test: Set to •))) symbol. Buzzer sounds for low resistance.
Diode Test: Set to •|► symbol. Red lead to anode, black to cathode. Typical reading 0.5V-0.8V.

Battery Replacement

Replace battery when low battery indicator appears.

  1. Turn meter OFF and disconnect test leads.
  2. Remove screw from battery compartment cover.
  3. Replace old 9V battery with new one, observing polarity.
  4. Replace cover and screw.

WARNING! Do not operate with battery cover removed. Dispose of old battery properly.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with dry cloth only. Store in dry place. Do not expose to extreme temperatures.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or abrasives. Keep away from moisture and dust.
