Safety Precautions

Read all safety information before use. Always follow proper electrical safety procedures.

  1. Do not exceed maximum input limits shown on meter and in manual.
  2. Use proper personal protective equipment when working with electricity.
  3. Verify meter operation by measuring known voltage source first.
  4. Do not use if meter or test leads appear damaged.
  5. Disconnect power and discharge capacitors before measuring resistance.

WARNING! High voltage can cause serious injury or death. Use extreme caution when measuring live circuits.

Parts and Controls

Front Panel: LCD display, Function selector dial, Power button, Data Hold button.

Input Jacks: COM (common/negative), VΩmA (voltage/resistance/mA), 10A (high current).

Function Selector Positions: OFF, ACV, DCV, DCA, 10A, Ω, Continuity, Diode, Capacitance.

Specifications

Basic Operation

Power on meter; select appropriate function.

  1. Insert test leads: Black to COM, Red to appropriate jack (VΩmA or 10A).
  2. Turn function dial to desired measurement type.
  3. Connect test leads to circuit or component.
  4. Read measurement on LCD display.
  5. Use Data Hold to freeze reading if needed.

CAUTION! Always start with highest range if unknown value. Never touch exposed metal parts of test leads.

Measurement Procedures

AC/DC Voltage: Select V~ or V=, connect leads in parallel with circuit.

  1. DC Current: Select A=, connect leads in series with circuit (use 10A jack for >200mA).
  2. Resistance: Select Ω, ensure circuit is de-energized, connect across component.
  3. Continuity: Select buzzer symbol, circuit complete if buzzer sounds.
  4. Diode Test: Select diode symbol, red lead to anode, black to cathode.
  5. Capacitance: Select F, discharge capacitor first, connect across capacitor.

Tip: For accurate readings, ensure good contact and stable connections.

Battery Replacement

Replace 9V battery when low battery indicator appears.

  1. Turn meter OFF and disconnect test leads.
  2. Remove battery compartment cover on back.
  3. Remove old battery, insert new 9V battery.
  4. Replace cover securely.
  5. Properly dispose of old battery according to local regulations.

WARNING! Do not mix old and new batteries. Use only recommended battery type.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with dry cloth only; store in carrying case when not in use.

CAUTION! Do not expose to water, extreme temperatures, or strong magnetic fields. Replace damaged test leads immediately.
