Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all components are present.

  1. Insert battery: Open battery compartment, install 9V battery.
  2. Connect test leads: Insert black lead into COM jack, red lead into VΩmA jack.
  3. Power on: Turn function dial to any position except OFF.
  4. Test operation: Set to continuity, touch probes - should hear beep.

WARNING! Do not use if meter or leads are damaged. Ensure proper battery installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on multimeter; verify display shows all segments briefly.

  1. Select measurement function: Turn dial to desired measurement type.
  2. Connect probes: Ensure correct jack selection for measurement.
  3. Take reading: Apply probes to circuit/component.
  4. Use data hold: Press HOLD button to freeze display reading.

CAUTION! Always start with highest range when measuring unknown values.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Function Dial Positions: OFF, V⎓ (DC voltage), V~ (AC voltage), A⎓ (DC current), Ω (resistance), •))) (continuity/diode).

Buttons: HOLD (data hold), SELECT (function toggle), POWER (on/off).

Display Symbols: AC/DC indicators, low battery, overflow, hold, auto-ranging. Jacks: COM (common), VΩmA (voltage/resistance/current up to 200mA), 10A (current up to 10A).

Connecting Test Leads

Always connect black lead to COM jack. Red lead position depends on measurement:

  1. Voltage/Resistance/Continuity: Red lead in VΩmA jack.
  2. Current (<200mA): Red lead in VΩmA jack.
  3. Current (200mA-10A): Red lead in 10A jack.
  4. Turn function dial to OFF when not in use.

Tip: Ensure leads are fully inserted and not damaged before use.

Taking Measurements

Supports voltage, current, resistance, continuity, diode tests.

  1. DC Voltage: Set to V⎓, connect parallel to circuit, observe polarity.
  2. AC Voltage: Set to V~, connect parallel to circuit.
  3. DC Current: Set to A⎓, connect in series with circuit, use correct jack.
  4. Resistance: Set to Ω, ensure circuit is de-energized, connect across component.
  5. Continuity: Set to •))), circuit must be de-energized, buzzer sounds for continuity.
  6. Diode Test: Set to •))), red lead to anode, black to cathode.
  7. Data Hold: Press HOLD to freeze reading for recording.
  8. Auto Power Off: Meter turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

WARNING! Never measure voltage with leads in current jacks. Do not exceed rated voltages.

Safety Features

Overload Protection: Fused protection in current measurement modes. Safety Compliance: Meets IEC 61010-1 CAT II 600V standards. High Voltage Warning: Do not use on circuits >600V AC/DC.

Care & Cleaning

Remove battery when not in use for extended periods. Clean with dry cloth only; no solvents.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners. Store in dry place away from extreme temperatures.
