Specifications

Controls and Functions

Front Panel: LCD display, Function selector dial, Input jacks, Data Hold button.

Selector Dial Positions: OFF, ACV, DCV, ACA, DCA, Ω, CAP, Diode, Continuity.

Input Jacks: COM (common), VΩmA (voltage/resistance/diode/continuity/mA), 10A (high current). Data Hold: Press to freeze displayed value. Auto Power Off: Activates after 15 minutes of inactivity (can be disabled). Continuity Test: Audible beep indicates circuit continuity. Diode Test: Displays forward voltage drop of semiconductor junctions.

Measurement Procedures

Always start with highest range when measuring unknown values.

  1. Voltage Measurement: Select ACV or DCV, connect leads in parallel with circuit.
  2. Current Measurement: Select ACA or DCA, connect leads in series with circuit.
  3. Resistance Measurement: Select Ω, ensure circuit is de-energized, connect across component.
  4. Continuity Test: Select continuity symbol, touch probes to circuit ends.
  5. Diode Test: Select diode symbol, connect red lead to anode, black to cathode.
  6. Capacitance Measurement: Select CAP, discharge capacitor first, connect across capacitor.

Tip: For current measurements above 200mA, use 10A jack and position.

Safety Precautions

This meter meets safety standards CAT II 600V, CAT III 300V.

  1. Never exceed maximum input limits.
  2. Use proper personal protective equipment when working with live circuits.
  3. Check test leads for damage before each use.
  4. Do not use meter if it operates abnormally.
  5. Disconnect test leads from circuit before changing functions.
  6. Replace battery when low battery indicator appears.

DANGER! High voltage can cause serious injury or death. Use extreme caution.

Battery Replacement

Replace battery when low battery indicator appears on display.

  1. Turn selector dial to OFF position.
  2. Disconnect all test leads from meter.
  3. Remove screw from battery compartment cover.
  4. Replace old 9V battery with new one, observing polarity.
  5. Replace cover and secure screw.
  6. Dispose of old battery properly according to local regulations.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Use only recommended battery type.

Care & Maintenance

Keep meter clean and dry. Store in protective case when not in use.

  1. Clean exterior with damp cloth only; do not use solvents.
  2. Keep test leads clean and inspect regularly for damage.
  3. Store in dry location away from extreme temperatures.
  4. Calibrate annually for accurate measurements.

WARNING! Never use meter with cracked case or damaged display.
