Jump-Starting Procedure

Follow these steps carefully to jump-start a vehicle.

  1. Prepare: Ensure jump starter is off. Park vehicles in neutral/park with ignitions off.
  2. Connect to Dead Battery:
    • Attach RED clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery.
    • Attach BLACK clamp to a clean, unpainted metal part of the engine block or chassis (a solid ground away from the battery).
  3. Verify Connections: Ensure clamps have solid contact. No alarm should sound (alarm indicates reverse polarity).
  4. Start the Jump Starter: Press the unit's POWER button. The battery indicator should light up.
  5. Start the Vehicle: Get into the vehicle and start the engine. Crank for no more than 5 seconds. If it doesn't start, wait 3 minutes before trying again.
